Episode 3: C'est Enfants d'Ailleure
"The team LAMCU sent messed up. Jessie and the accomplice got away," they almost seemed ashamed as if it were there fault. Terrance patted one of them on the back and walked on.

"Ah, our faults anyway Mizrachi. We really underestimated Jessie," a calm returned to the scene as a smile came to Terrance's face, "but she can't run away forever."

The elevator ride up the 70 story tall skyscraper in Detroit was unbelievably slow. Jessica firmly placed a magazine into her M1952 and then worked back the slide with satisfying click when it sprung back ready to fire. She caught a glimpse of the quiet and composed Nagano who appeared to be armed with only his MCU badge.

"When are you going to learn that real criminals don't care about that badge?" Jessica asked focusing on the door in front of her.

"These aren't criminals, there just corporate fat cats. And guys with that type of money are going to be approached by some more sketchy people quite often," Nagano replied pulling from experience.

"Nagano, you're going to find yourself with a bullet in that innocent little body of yours real soon if you keep that up," Jessica replied now taking a glance at the levels counting up.

"Yeah, and how many times have you been shot?" asked Nagano smugly

"The real question is whether I'm dead or not," replied Jessica glancing at where she had received a machine gun bullet a few months earlier in Atlantic City.

"Good, then the same applies to me," Nagano smiled as Jessica flicked the safety on her handgun to off and returned it to her holster. When they reached the top level, the entire hall way was white with new tiles that made the room even brighter as the sun came from the glass windows that made the entire outer wall.  Jessica instantly caught site of one of Bradley's Mercenaries. She reached for her gun but Nagano put his hand over hers.

"Let's avoid a body count today alright?" he grinned and Jessica sighed, this was going to end badly. They walked around the square hallway until they reached a door guarded by two more of Bradley's men. Nagano showed them his MCU badge. They looked at each other, laughed and then pulled out SMG's. Jessica laughed darkly as she stabbed the first guard and used his gun to kill the second.

"Now, are we using guns or are we pretending this is a trip to La Ronde?" Jessica asked as she prepared to breach the door.

"Oh ha, ha," laughed Nagano sarcastically having been defeated. He loaded shells into his NS-116 and then winked at Jessica. She shot the door handle and kicked in. Waiting for them was Bradley.

"Um, Tadeshia, can you get me LAMCU on the line. I want to say sorry for not informing them that Jessie is ex-military," Terrance asked as he walked up to the Senegalese women at his desk.

"You did not hear?" she asked. She had been struggling to learn English since she had been assigned to MMCU and her thick accent made the words sound funny.

"What?" Terrance sat on the chair on the other side of his desk.

"They were killed. The Blackhawk, how do you say pilote?"

"Pilot."

"Yes, the Blackhawk pilots survived the crash but they were killed afterwards, ambushed. Not Bradley's men either"

"Christ!" That's when Terrance felt the cold barrel of a firearm on the back of his head., "What the hell?"

"Sorry, but you have discovered too much," the voice was recognized instantly. It was Mizrachi.

"Talk to me Mizrachi, what are you doing?" Terrance was calm, calmer then the man holding the gun.

"Your people have done too much to my country to be forgiven. In a few days we will be avenged and rise to our proper place," Mizrachi yelled in an inspired speech.

"Israel?" Terrance asked quite confused, but then it made sense, "Where are you really from anyway Mizrachi, which I doubt is you real name."

"Iran Terrance, you don't remember me from TMCU?" Mizrachi acted as if were offended, "Phantom and I burnt the firing codes so that the nuke would hit Israel. Yet you just had to stop them anyway. Well this time it isn't a missile. You won't be able to stop it."

"Oh, that's good news," smiled Terrance

"What is?" asked Mizrachi becoming worried about Terrance's confidence. Terrance jumped over his desk, dodging the barrage of bullets from the MP443. Then Tadeshia, now free to shoot, nailed the terrorist in the leg with her own gun. In the frenzy of gun shots, the buildings security guards rushed into the room.

"It's good news that you aren't Israeli or else I wouldn't have been able to do that!" laughed Terrance taking Mizrachi's gun and hand-cuffing him and handing the terrorist off to the officers.

"Tadeshia, you're with me," Terrance said handing her a bullet proof vest.

"Where are we going?" she asked patting her hair back down.

"We have a meeting with a politician."

"Well Jessie, what a pleasant surprise. Fancy seeing my favorite adopted child here?" Bradley seemed happy while his followers, especially the CEO the company, were backing away.

"Bradley…" Jessica lowered her handgun, much to the surprise of Nagano who was now holding of the re-emerging mercenaries, "I need to know."

This was softer, almost kind Jessica that Nagano had never seen. He felt betrayed and looked at what was becoming possibly an enemy, "Jessie, I thought you hated this guy!"

"It's all a test and you're passing beautifully. Soon this will all be over, but first you must become what I created you for," Bradley smiled, "Jessie, you have the power to change this. It's the reason I chose you."

"But, damnit!" Jessica yelled aiming her M1952 again, "Why did you have to do this to me?  I don't even feel anything anymore!"

"The world which I wish to create will require the strong, the brave and the bold. It will need heroes this world has never known. You are the only hope I have," Bradley smiled as he walked out the glass door and into a helicopter on a pad just beside the office. Jessica watched wide eyed as the Orca Gunship took off. Nagano sighed with relief no longer under the strain of 20 mercenaries aiming at him. He then turned to Jessica who had fallen to her knees.

"What the bloody hell was that about?" he didn't usually get angry but this was an exception.

"Why didn't I shoot?" Jessica sobbed, feeling more alone then any point in her life.
So much happens in this episode, ZOMG! I think RS becomes less and less military oriented every season but Terrance's story is going to stay within the realm of reality while Jessica's is going to be more Sci-Fi fantasy thing. Bradley, he is one chill dude.

Anyhow, does anyone else smell Cavalier Program returning?
