Kika

"I don't care what you claim to have done in the past Sudski. We're all equals here. In time I'll prove to you I'm your better."

Kika Grasten is the daughter of Dominus Grasten, the First Lord of the Karelian Imperial Forces, and the only heir of Hus Av Grasten. She leads Bronwyn's Ghosts, a unit of elite Karelian Guards who wreak havoc behind enemy lines. Kika first encounters the crew of the ARAS Canmore while operating in Coven and agrees to help the unit find the Trinity Gauntlet.

Born into a powerful Karelski household in the Argyll region, Kika had an early life similar to Kennewicks. She followed her fathers footsteps into the military, becoming a Dragoon regiment Lieutenant at the age of 17; a true display of her tactical and physical prowess. Her lack of experience proved to be a huge flaw during her first deployment into Mayayore shortly after. Her unit was destroyed by Scarran raiders and she was taken prisoner. Astoundingly, she managed to kill her captors, steal a horse, and ride back to the Karelian lines soon after. After this, Dominus, attempted to convince his daughter to take on more peaceful pursuits. She refused and returned to Mayayore, quickly regaining her honour. 

When Kika asked for the right to lead the Bronwyn's Ghosts, Dominus once again refused, but Kika was able to step around her father, going to Aleksi Max, then First Lord of the KIF. With a wide array of battle honours and recommendations, Kika was given the unit. She then became the youngest captain of a ghost unit in modern Karelian history, at the age of 22. War came soon after, with the Shirudo invading Karelia. 

An injury from her first deployment has forced Kika to use a cane when walking for any considerable period of time. None the less, her love for sword play leads her to ignore the pain and turn to her sabre in combat whenever possible.
