Description

Finalement! It appears that the art war can continue! I just needed to find my footing and find a style that worked.

Song of the hour: [link]

Points for whoever can tell me what is says on that sign in the top center of the drawing :D (well, I know what is says and what language it is in)

So, from left to right.

It's the peak of winter in the North of Unus Solum, and usually the border between the Kingdom of Corinth and the Holy Nordvest Empire is quiet around now. The people of Corinth simply have no motivation to head into Nordvest, and most of the Nordvest's population doesn't have a car, which would be necessary to make journey between even the closest cities.

Corinthian border guards notice a large influx of Norvest people attempting to enter the country. Recon flights show that there are thousands, maybe millions more coming, causing a minor panic on the Corinthian side of the border, fearing that they may be part of an invasion force. With this in mind, army units are sent to re-enforce the border, while the only ship in the area, the Airhussar Forger provides support.

These men and woman soon realize that these people are all Nordvest refugees. They come bearing terrible stories of Shirudo attacks. Fearing the worst, Corinth envoys to Falsueg (sort of like the meeting place of Unus Solums UN) ask the Norvest ambassadors if they can move there army in to help the Nordvest forces. They are told by the ambassadors that they lost contact with Norinta 26 hours ago, and that they have recently lost contact with South Line.

The forces on the border decide to establish refugee camps on the Nordvest side of the border, and dig in on the hills a few kilometers in along side there once Nordvest enemies, but dare not advance any further.

On the other side of the world, Arcea's 17th Marines have been learning geurrila warfare tactics and how to counter them from Enshaw Talismen in a series of war games on the Archipelago Islands. As it turns out, Arcean's aren't very good at either, and the Enshaw easily beat there allies within an hour.

Meanwhile, Aircorvette Revinswright, the ship the 17th operates from, is an older airship not meant for combat. Sitting beside the Revinswright is the far more advanced and powerful Enshaw Airfortress Espléndido. Luckily, the Revinswright is an older ship, and it picks up a cryptic message from a 70 year old defense grid meant to be used as early warning of Shirudo movements. The warning shows that the Shirudo force are only a few hours out, but it gives no warning to the size of the force. With the nearest allied garrison in Lanzarote being over a day away, the force of 50 Marines and 200 Talismen lead by Kennewick Devran, as well as a local garrison of 75 Enshaw riflemen, dig in and prepare for the worst.

Things to notice...

Western Dynamiks armoured patrol car. South Arcean design, currently being used by the KOC. They use the same gun as the old Arcean Pyramid tanks, but are faster, lighter and have a far more powerful engine. They usually operate like BMP-2's in 7 car skirmishers squads, each car carrying 4 riflemen. So, the other 6 members of that cars unit are somewhere nearby.

You can also see that neither the people of Corinth or Nordvest speak English. In fact, only Arcean's speak English as a first language. Albeit, people who live in Western Corinth often know English, but they speak it with the heaviest accent that it might as well be another language :P

The border guards of the KOC wear dress uniforms. The actually soldiers (which you can see here [link]) look very different. And I know what it looks like, but he isn't aiming his gun at the kids head.

You can also see that the Arcean Marines aren't wearing there signature great coats. Mainly because you wouldn't want to wear a great coat in a Jamaican like climate either. And yes, those are giant ferns...

I'd say the sign is either Irish or Welsh, I'm leaning more towards the former. But it is a bastardised retarded language so I have no idea what the sign says.

You really need to right more of Corinth you know.
