Battle at Laguna Seca

In my opinion, Laguna Seca has to be the coolest track in North America. So, it's sort of unfortunate that the only series that race there now are touring cars and motorcycles, neither of which get that much air time.

So, while we are imagining a fictional America's (I say America's because you can't just leave out Brazil in a good racing series) equivalent to Australian V8 Supercars, why not have Laguna Seca be the series version of the Bathurst 1000, Daytona 500, Monaco Grand Prix or Indianapolis 500? 500 miles or 225 Laps of Laguna Seca could be pretty epic. Heck, mix it up and have the race start at 6 pm, do a part of the race at night, that could make for some epic visuals!
